Patient Code of Conduct

To ensure a safe, respectful, and effective environment for all patients, visitors, and staff, we ask that you adhere to the following standards of conduct during all interactions with our office, whether in person, by phone, or electronically.

We are committed to treating you with respect, and we expect the same in return.

  • Respect for Staff and Other Patients: All interactions should be based on mutual respect to foster trust and collaboration. You must treat all doctors, nurses, administrative staff, and other patients with courtesy, respect, and dignity.
  • Zero Tolerance for Abuse: Our office has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of verbal abuse, physical intimidation, threats, derogatory language, disruptive, disrespectful, discriminatory or aggressive behavior. This includes actions based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.
  • Professional Communication: We ask that you communicate your needs, concerns, and frustrations to our staff in a calm and constructive manner. Shouting, yelling, cursing, repeatedly, unreasonable demands, using foul language during interactions with all staff
     will not be tolerated.

Safety and Compliance

Your cooperation with our safety and operational policies is essential for everyone’s well-being.

  • Adherence to Policies: You must follow all established office policies and rules, including those regarding appointments, scheduling, and payment.
  • Safety Protocols: You are expected to comply with all safety and public health protocols, such as masking requirements or visitor restrictions, as requested by our staff or as mandated by public health guidelines.
  • Compliance with Treatment Plans: We ask that you provide accurate and complete information about your health history and follow the treatment plans and instructions agreed upon with your provider.
  • No Weapons: Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on office property.
  • Use of Drugs and Alcohol: Appearing to be under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol on our premises is strictly prohibited.

Appropriate Use of Property and Technology

  • Office Property: You are expected to treat our facilities and property with care. Any intentional damage to office property is prohibited.
  • Photography and Recording: Out of respect for the privacy and confidentiality of our staff and other patients, unauthorized photography, video, or audio recording of staff or other patients on our premises is strictly prohibited.
  • Responsible Electronic Communication: When communicating with us via text message, patient portal or email, please maintain the same level of respect and professionalism expected during in-person interactions.

Consequences of Policy Violation

Failure to comply with this Patient Code of Conduct will result in one or more of the following actions

  • Refusal of Non-Emergency Services: The office may refuse to schedule future routine appointments or non-emergency services.
  • Termination of Care: The office or provider reserves the right to terminate the professional relationship, and services may be terminated for policy violations
